Approved For R $s ;2Q05/04/19 : CIA-RDP82R00025R000100060010-8 Excerpt from the Journal Office of Legislative Counsel Friday – g May 1959 Carl Marcy, Staff Director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called in connection with gray previous request to Mr. St. Clair for the transcript of the Director’s briefing of the Committee on 23 April. Mr. St. Clair had been told that we would like a copy of the transcript to that we might correct it and refer to it in connection with follow-up actions on specific requests from members of the Committee. Despite the fact that the Committee has provided us with transcripts of similar prior briefings, Mr. Marcy indicated that he was most reluctant to release the transcript to mee without assurances from the Director that he wanted this done. I did not press the matter further but told Marcy that I would consult the Director on the matter.
