Qy~-O ~- .-?- ~3~, ~ ~,~-, Vii.,, ;. ~ _ y~r 25X1 25X1 SUBJECT: Catastrophe Coverage for Agency Employees 1. A meeting was held today with the following participants: Colonel L. K. White, Mr. William E. Colby, Mr. John W. Coffey, and Mr. John S. Warner. 2. After a brief review of the background, Colonel White indicated that the work on this subject should go forward. He indicated that this was the direction in which he was sure the Director of Central Intelligence wished to go. In approving further work, Colonel White indicated that he was not intending to commit himself to anything. The tasks to be done are to develop a rationale by which it can be determined that the expenditures are necessary for the performance of functions of the Agency and also to flesh out the basic concepts of the coverage to be afforded.

3. Colonel White stated he believed that a strong part of the rationale could be related to our early retirement policy. 4. Colonel White requested that Mr. Houston take on the assignment to see how the annual premium of $350, 000 could be paid 5.
