Woodcut ill. depict medals (mostly reverses). Varisco mermaid device at colophon’, ‘Includes index, p. [9-16]’, ‘Includes errata, p. [781]’, ‘Binding: vellum. Foredges turned down over text block. Author and title written on paper slip mounted at head of spine. Below it is another slip with the shelf mark 2204. Remains of 2 pairs of green ribbon ties at foredge. Page edges blue’, ‘At upper left corner of front pastedown is armorial bookplate of: Fuerstlich Auerspergsche Fideicommisbibliothek zu Laybach [Ljubljana]. Inscription at head of t.p.: Wolffg[ang] Engelb[ert] S[ui] R[egis] I[mperatoris] Com[es] ab Aursperg Sup[remus] Cap[itanus] Carnioliae (i.e. Wolf Engelbert Auersperg, 1641-1696, Reichsgraf, geographer; see Deutscher Biogr.
