Utilizing carbonyl formation data previously obtained during the thermal oxidation of unstabilized atactic polypropylene, unstabilized isotactic polypropylene and unstabilized atactic polybutene-1 along with a semi-empirical expression, it was possible to extrapolate and obtain arbitrary induction times at relatively low temperatures.
