The NORDA oceanographic satellite remote sensing program will emphasize data exploitation as opposed to data collection. This emphasis is because the collection technology has already far outstripped our ability to utilize the data for oceanographic purposes. The satellite data system described herein is an essential component for development and demonstration of processing, analysis, and interpretation methodology.
