Description of the Book:

We have achieved two objectives: (1) we developed the theory of electron scattering by adsorbed molecule and used it to demonstrate that electron scattering is a good probe of the orientation of a chemisorbed molecule. (2) We developed the theory of photodissociation with ultrashort pulses, analyzed existing experiments and showed that coherence and interference play a central role in the dissociation process. By using numerical simulations we proposed and documented new types of experiments which can increase the amount of information regarding dynamics of dissociation
