Description of the Book:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the methods and procedures of audiometric monitoring as used in the United States Air Force (USAF) Hearing Conservation Program (HCP). These program elements are common to HCPs both in the other military services (U.S. Army and Navy) and in civilian industry. However, there are a multitude of variations in implementing these common elements of a HCP. The minimal requirement of monitoring audiometry is addressed in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Noise Standard, Code of Federal Regulations, Title 29, Chapter XVII, Part 1910.95, March 8, 1983
