The overall audit objective was to determine the accuracy of Defense base realignment and closure military construction budget data. This report provides the results of the audit of seven projects, valued at $48.7 million, associated with the closure of Mare Island Naval Shipyard, California, and the realignment of personnel, equipment, and support services to Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, Crane, Indiana; Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California; Fleet Combat Training Center, Atlantic, Dam Neck, Virginia (two projects); Naval Communications Station Stockton, California; Naval Submarine Base Bangor, Silverdale, Washington; and Naval Station Everett, Washington.
