This thesis seeks to determine whether the relationship between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can continue to survive in light of the unprecedented developments that have challenged this partnership within the last decade. It will address this question through a careful review of the history of the U.S. Saudi-partnership from 1931 to the present. The analysis shows that the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia is more robust than generally perceived. It also supports the notion that, despite the numerous disagreements that have occurred throughout the U.S.-Saudi relationship, the two nations have always reverted back to their mutually beneficial strategic partnership
