Microteaching, a technique for training teachers to develop specific teaching skills through the use of a scaled down classroom situation, has proved to be not only effective but also strongly appealing to teachers. A state-of-the-art paper entitled “Microteaching: History and Present Status” prepared by the authors for the ERIC Clearinghouse on Teachers Education is the basis for this PREP report.
